Concert of Prayer, Thursday, Sept. 2nd
Join others from the Rockford region praying with one heart and one voice at Memorial Hall, 211 N Main St. The theme from the National Day of Prayer for 2010 is “Prayer for Such A TIme As This.” This Concert of Prayer continues with that theme as a number of religious and civic leaders will be praying together for God’s help in our schools, our city, our economy, our community in general. The needs of our city continue to be pressing and crucial and this gathering go people from many different churches and denominations recognize the need to come together to pray.
Serve Breakfast at Grounds for Life
For you early risers - we just started serving breakfast at Grounds for Life from 6:30-8:30am. They provide the food, we help serve it.
Pastor Al English heads this mission at 714 - 3rd Ave.

--Alley Walk is Saturday, September 11th and we’re having an ALL-church picnic on Sunday the 12th to celebrate! Our alley garage owners will be our
special guests - without them where would we be?
Broasted chicken, beverages, plates & plastic ware provided... please bring a dish to share.
Alley Walk- September 11, 2010
We continue sorting on Wednesday at 9am in our new garage! Keep bringing your donations of nice, clean items for the garages - don’t procrastinate! Clothing already on hangers is appreciated. If you bring your “treasures” on Wednesday between 9-10am, we’ll help unload.
Southern Gospel Night at Beth Eden United Methodist Church - August 22, 6:30pm... with Rockford’s own Alleluia Quartet. A free-will offering will go to The Carpenter’s Place.
Worship at Anderson Japanese Garden
The Salvation Army invites you to come Tuesdays from 7-7:30am for a message and music. Fellowship afterwards with complimentary coffee and donuts
in the tent.
On Thursdays, Pilgrim Baptist Church invites you join them from 7-7:30am as they worship at the Garden. Coffee and donuts will also be served. Attendees may walk through the garden until 8am.
Covenant Harbor Volunteer Weekend
“Believe, Love, Serve”
Covenant Harbor is looking for volunteers for the weekend of Oct. 8–9 to help paint, clean and do other projects around camp activities provided to everyone who attends. Childcare provided for those with children.
